Shame on you Rafa!!

As those around me will know, I am an ardent fan of Rafa.

But Rafa's on-court actions in the past few tournaments have made me question his sportsman's spirit.

It doesn't suit a player of Rafa's stature to walk out of a game when he's losing it. I am not contesting the fact that Rafa is injured or not. But still, if he is not completely sure about his fitness, he shouldn't be taking part in a Grand Slam. Not taking part would have been better than exiting the way he did. It was really disgraceful.

I agree that with his injuries and loss of the French Open Crown last year, he must be low on confidence. But then, great players do have their ups and downs, but then they bounce back with all their charisma. Federer would serve as a good case at hand. He lost his Wimbledon Crown to Nadal. Lost in so many encounters against him. The newcomers had started thrashing him on court. His confidence must have reached rock-bottom levels but then, bounce back he did. And he did it in a big way. He did not chicken out or cower during his defeats. That is grace!!

Rafa is playing in interesting times. He's young, he's good. He has the fighting spirit. He shouldn't let his injuries or confidence get the better of him. Go Rafa, Go!! We are still behind you, just don't let us down with your on-court antics like u did at the Australian Open 2010.
